Everyone can be sensitive. However, some people are more sensitive than others. In which category do you fall? Are you the highly sensitive type?

From my experience, highly sensitive people are influenced more easily by their outside environment. They may be more vulnerable to emotional issues such as anger, anxiety, depression, hypochondria, phobias, obsessive thoughts, and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), among other emotional based issues, than the average person. Their oversensitivity/over-analytical thinking may prevent them from living to their true potential by overloading their complex mind. Of course, anyone could suffer from a debilitating emotional issue without being a highly sensitive type. However, many people in the sensitive category (especially the extreme types) may be primed for emotional turmoil in their lives.
